Fitness and Wellness talk

For the month of February, I've been busy, busy at Clark College lecturing for health classes.

I started the month with lectures for Health classes and concluded the month with motivational talks for Health and Physical Education classes. Seriously! This has got to be the coolest "job" ever! I love sharing my story in hopes to motivate and inspire others. My story is more than about weight loss it's applicable to life -- believing in yourself, hard work, making adjustments, and never giving up.

Yesterday, I had the pleasure of delivering back-to-back lectures for HPE 258: Fitness and Wellness. Super-duper cool! Here's a look-see at the photos:

Perfect, I am not

I am the best me yet, but in no way am I perfect. Beyond my journey to a healthier, fitter lifestyle. I am confronted with every day life and all of it's nuances. I choose to document my journey publicly, however, I do keep my private life, private.  With my name in the spotlight lately, my private life seems to not be so private. I guess, that's just part of it. I will continue sharing my motivation, passion, and zest for healthy living with you. I want to help, encourage, and inspire you. I will continue to do my best to be a better person, but, perfect I am not.

Thank you

Since the inception of Farewell Fatso! I’ve had the pleasure of speaking with some incredible folks. Many of you have come back to my page time and time again to congratulate, encourage, and thank me. It’s my turn…Thank you! My heart is filled with joy as I reviewed your beautiful words. Like I've said before battling obesity is not something you can do in silence. Thank you for allowing me to share my story. This is a two-way street, y’all motivate and inspire me too.

This one’s for each and every one of you.  Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.

The Obesity Epidemic is REAL!

The evidence of an epidemic is everywhere.

· Two-thirds, more than 190 million Americans are
overweight or obese.

· Obesity-related diseases are a $147 billion dollar
medical burden every year.

· Childhood obesity has tripled in the last thirty years
