Cooking Back
I prepare 99 percent of all my meals at home. In today's society that is unheard of, I know. But, I'm a control freak and so it only makes sense that I like to control what I eat. Seriously, I've always loved a good home cooked meal. So once I started my bid for a healthy lifestyle I decided to return to the basics. That means fresh, whole food. The only can goods you'll find in my cupboards are beans, broths, and tomatoes. I have a spice collection that can create cuisines from around the world. I frequent grocery stores on the regular to keep my fridge stocked with fresh produce, meats, and dairy. I love to eat always have. My love for food, however, got me in a lot of trouble. 388 lbs. of trouble. And, unlike most types of addiction, I can't just stop eating food. I had to find a way to eat healthy, balanced meals and that's one of the reasons I started to cook meals at home. Besides, eating out is so very expensive and quite frankly I don't know any restaurant that can hold a candle to my healthy, wholesome, and delicious home cooked meals. Like Justin Timberlake brought "Sexy Back," I'm bringing cooking back.
